Cleanse:
This is the first step and involves washing your face with a suitable cleanser to remove dirt, oil, makeup, and other impurities that accumulate on your skin throughout the day.
Choose a cleanser that is appropriate for your skin type (oily, dry, combination, sensitive) to avoid stripping your skin of its natural oils or causing irritation.
Gently massage the cleanser onto damp skin using circular motions, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and pat your skin dry with a clean towel.
Tone:
After cleansing, toning is the next step. Toners help to balance the pH of your skin, tighten pores, and remove any leftover traces of dirt or cleanser that may still be lingering on your skin.
Apply a small amount of toner to a cotton pad or ball and gently swipe it over your face and neck, avoiding the delicate eye area.
Look for toners with ingredients like witch hazel, rose water, or glycolic acid, depending on your skin’s specific needs.
Moisturise:
The final step is moisturizing, which is essential for keeping your skin hydrated and preventing dryness and irritation.
Choose a moisturizer that suits your skin type and concerns. For example, if you have dry skin, opt for a rich, creamy moisturizer, while those with oily skin may prefer a lightweight, oil-free formula.
Apply a small amount of moisturizer to your face and neck, gently massaging it into your skin using upward motions.
Don’t forget to moisturize both morning and night, as well as after cleansing or showering, to lock in moisture and keep your skin soft and supple.
Following a CTM routine consistently can help improve the overall health and appearance of your skin, leaving it looking clear, radiant, and refreshed.
