SHAHABAD: Bharatiya Janata Party‘s (BJP) Kurukshetra Lok Sabha candidate Naveen Jindal, supported by Haryana chief minister (CM) Nayab Singh Saini, on Saturday released his vision document namely ‘Kurukshetra Sankalp Patra’ for developing Kurukshetra and Kaithal.
The document was released at BJP’s Vijay Sankalp rally organized with support of former minister Krishan Bedi in the grain market of Shahabad-Markanda town of Kurukshetra district.
In his vision document Jindal envisions developing the Kurukshetra Tirtha Corridor to give Kurukshetra a spiritual and religious identity at the world level, with a target to boost religious tourism, employment and cleanliness while providing modern facilities. It promises to develop world class vocational training centres in Kurukshetra and Kaithal, where after signing contracts with organisations from countries like America, Canada, Europe and Japan, every year, 10,000 needy youths will be trained besides providing employment opportunities.
Jindal has also promised to develop Jindal Sports Institute on priority, world-class training centre for the sports players, on the line of JSW’s Inspire institute, where Indian javelin thrower and Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra has trained, to prepare the players for world level. Also, it is visioned to modernize stadiums and sports facilities in Kurukshetra and Kaithal. He has also promised to perform various social welfare activities, already being done by the Jindal group.
Jindal also resolved to provide scholarships to needy talented students passing Class X and XII, preparing for engineering, medical, CA, CS courses. He promised to deploy modern machines and ensure availability of doctors at hospitals and health centres of Kurukshetra and Kaithal.
Jindal also promised to open a regional centre of Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Hisar, at Kurukshetra, for treatment of livestock.
The document aims to upgrade infrastructure of government schools with multimedia classrooms and providing English medium quality education.
Some of the schemes adopted in Jindal’s document are of the Centre government, which are also working on the ground.
Other visions and efforts that Jindal said that he would try to meet include four-laning of Kurukshetra-Yamunanagar road, developing circular bypass around Kurukshetra, bypass between Ladwa-Kurukshetra, water treatment plant in Thanesar, public toilet in all markets of Kurukshetra, stoppage of Amritsar and Jammu bound trains at Kurukshetra railway station, doubling of railway route between Kaithal and Kurukshetra, railway over bridge on Karnal road railway crossing in Kaithal, parking at Tehsil road in Kaithal, old age home for senior citizens and reconstruction of roads in Radaur.
