The National Board of Examinations (NBE) is set to conduct the National Eligibility Entrance Test (Postgraduate) NEET PG exam on June 23. Candidates must bring a printed copy of their admit card to the exam centre. The results for NEET PG 2024 are expected to be announced by July 15, and the cut-off date for completing the internship required for eligibility will be declared on August 15.
NEET-PG serves as the sole eligibility and entrance exam for admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses for the 2024-25 academic year. The exam consists of 200 multiple-choice questions, each with four response options, presented in English.
Before attending the NEET PG exam, candidates should review and adhere to the following important instructions and guidelines.
NEET PG 2024: Dress Code for the exam
The NBE has strict guidelines about what candidates can wear or not on the exam day. They are not allowed to wear the following ornaments:

As far as accessories are concerned, NEET PG candidates aren’t allowed to carry the following:

- Badges,

- Caps
NEET PG 2024: Essential documents
- Candidates must bring their admit card (with a passport photo attached) and an original ID card such as a PAN card, driving license, voter ID card, Aadhaar card, or passport.
- Applicants also need to provide a photocopy of their permanent or provisional SMC, MCI, or NMC registration, which will be kept for records.
- Students will need to show their admit card and ID proof at the table equipped with a barcode reader to receive their assigned lab number.
- NEET PG aspirants who are Indian citizens or OCIs and have passed the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) must bring their original screening test certificate issued on NBEMS letterhead.
- Foreign candidates are required to present their original passport and their medical council registration from their home country as proof of being a medical practitioner.
- Persons with disabilities (PwD) who are requesting a scribe or extra time must bring a PwD certificate issued by the appropriate authority.
NEET PG 2024: General instructions
- Candidates must arrive at the exam center at the reporting time specified on their admit card. No electronic devices or food items are permitted inside the examination hall.
- The NBE will not provide storage facilities for personal belongings at the exam centre.
- Candidates are required to cooperate with the staff during the security screening process.
